Dan is a water quality scientist who provides support to water utilities in assessing and managing risks from drinking water supply and effluent recycling. Dan has previously worked in similar roles in water utilities, consulting firms and university post-doctoral positions in the UK and in Victoria and NSW in Australia.
Daniel holds a PhD in waterborne pathogen fate and transport from the University of Liverpool (1995), an MBA in Technology Management from La Trobe University (2006) and a BSc (Hons) Class 1 in Biotechnology from the University Leeds (1992).
Daniel has won many awards including the International Water Association 2002, Young Professional of the Year (biennial award) and contributions to the Australian Water Association's Water journal have also been recognised with the awarding of the Guy Parker Award for the best paper, "Risk Management and Due Diligence in the Water Industry", published in the journal for the period April 2004 to May 2005. management goals.
